The role
What a Forward Deployed Engineer does here.
You are the engineer in the room with the client. You do not wait for a perfect spec: you find the problem, build the proof and leave the system better than you found it.
Embed with the client
Sit with the people who live with the problem. Learn their process before touching their code.
Diagnose first
Run a Project X-Ray: architecture, security, technical debt and where AI genuinely helps. Write it down plainly.
Ship something real, fast
Turn the diagnosis into a working prototype in days, then into production-ready software.
Hand over properly
Leave an Engineering Passport, a clean handover and a Risk Radar the client can read without you.
What the work looks like.

Embed
Join the client's world: their tools, their data, their people. Understand what is actually broken, not what the ticket says.

Diagnose
Read unfamiliar and often abandoned code. Find the real risks and write a clear recommendation, whether or not we get the work.
- 03
Prototype
Build a working demo before any contract is signed. Proof, not promises.
- 04
Build & integrate
Connect to existing software, databases and APIs. Pick the technology the problem needs, not the one you already know.

Hand over
Document it, test it, deploy it, and make sure nothing depends on you being in the room.
You might be a fit if you are…
You do not need to tick every box. For internships, strong fundamentals and curiosity matter more than years of experience. We care more about how you think than about a perfect list of tools.
- ✓A strong generalist engineer: comfortable across front end, back end, APIs and databases
- ✓Hands-on with some of React / Next.js, Node.js, Python, .NET or PHP, and happy to learn the rest
- ✓Calm in messy, unfamiliar codebases, and good at finding what is actually wrong
- ✓Able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical people without jargon
- ✓A clear writer: recommendations, weekly risk updates and handover documents
- ✓Curious about practical AI: assistants, automation and where they genuinely save work
- ✓Someone who owns the problem end to end rather than passing it along
